Watching this was the most relaxing meditation I've experienced in a while.

I feel a natural high when I watch these vignettes.  All my problems seem trivial.  There's a guy here who recently posted a pic from a gallery of beautiful photos of distant galaxies and clusters of galaxies.  He may even have taken these photos himself, I don't know.  I felt a twinge of jealously.  How it would feel to look into an eyepiece and have photons that have been traveling for billions of years actually strike my retina.  The actual photons, not just a picture.  My goodness.  I think I would weep.

Oh man, that would be perfect.

 

Once I quit my job and get out of town, I plan to go stare at the universe again. My dad was a big telescope kind of guy, so astronomy has been a love of mine since I was very small.

 

I need to find a place with powerful telescopes where it's possible to visit.

 

You expressed the feelings beautifully - when I'm immersed in space, earthly problems become meaningless.
