I have worked in over the counter pharmacy for about six years. It was all overnights. Since there was no pharmacist on duty, I would try and answer customer questions. Over years I heard some pretty funny queries. I wish I had recorded them.

 

A teen age girl holding a box of Summer's Eve: "Can you tell me how to use this." You don't need it if you need to ask.

 

Customer : "my husband has..umm..."

ME: Erectile dysfunction?

Customer: "No ...ummm...ummm.."

Me: hemorrhoids

Customer: "No ..a girlfriend. I have no one to talk to at 4AM."

 

Customer: "Do you have rubber repair kits?"

Me without thinking: People generally only use them once.

Customer: "I have a flat bicycle tire."

[[Ge...]]

Funny and true..we need to laugh

I love this kind of dry humor. I worked at a customer service too and I often laughed my head off for the weird things people were saying. I also loved the angry e-mails we often got for the bad service.

 

One time there was a mistake and they sent 10  emails at night to the mailing list. The next morning our inbox was full of hilarious comments. People would get the first few emails and respond with an annoyed reply. But after the next few emails some would reply again typing in cap SOME PEOPLE TRY TO SLEEP AT NIGHT GOD DAMMIT
