Nope! It's Pig Latin! Pig Latin...I haven't even thought about Pig Latin since I was about 16!

Did you know the average cost of a dozen roses is 30.00. I think that is wrong, though, because down the street they hiked up to 45.00 per dozen around Valentine's Day...http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp94/ideasforvalentines/34529.jpg and that was last year. Who knows what they'll be this year.

I didn't know this!  - from Wiki:

Saint Valentine’s key is a charm used in the province of Padua, Italy. It is a metal key named after Saint Valentine, the patron saint not only of love and marriage but also of epilepsy, traditionally known as Saint Valentine's Malady. It was once common in southern Germany, eastern Switzerland, Austria, and northern Italy to appeal to him to heal the latter condition, known for that reason as Saint Valentine's affliction.

The key is gifted as a romantic symbol and an invitation to "unlock the giver's heart".

In a ceremony at the Oratorio di San Giorgio, a small chapel in Monselice, Padua, on Saint Valentine's Day each year, small golden keys are given to children to ward off epilepsy

Interesting and very romantic...not sure how a small golden key would have helped my cousin and brother who both had violent seizures. My cousin had several grand mals daily and medication didn't touch them. Wish we would have at least tried a small golden key.

True or false?:  Wives and girlfriends receive the most Valentine cards each year.

True!

What happened to your brother & cousin? Did they get better?

Hi D...sad to say, no. They both died way too young. My cousin was only 23 and my brother was 36. They both had kids and it was devastating. I miss them every day... :(

The answer is FALSE...can you believe it...TEACHERS get the most Valentine's Day cards. They certainly earn them!

The number one romantic song for 1950 was: Love Me Tender by Elvis Presley...http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v738/LadyFire/Holidays%20n%20Such/Valentines/Valentine_Day_Song_smiley.gif

Sorry to have elicited such sad memories from my anecdote.  I'm sorry, Cee Cee.  For you: http://i1152.photobucket.com/albums/p497/wendy236/kitty%20valentine_zpsadkoifzy.jpg

No worries, WBB...I think about them all the time. The memories are embedded in my brain. I thought the trivia was interesting. I love the gold key theory. It's a nice thought! Thank you for the sweet kitty kat with the big heart....love it!

Trivia question for ya:

What percent of women send themselves flowers on Valentine' Day?

Is it:

(A) 30%

(B) 15%

© 50%

(D) 10%

10%

That was so close, D. You get the gold star for being so close.. ;D "They" say it's 15%. I think while we're at it we should send ourselves some chocolates, too!...http://i1383.photobucket.com/albums/ah296/cecetoo/Valentines%20Day/girl_eats_valentine_chocolate_candies_smiley.gif

Here's an easy one:  Who is the most famous LOVER in the world?  :heybabe:

Hint: it should be was the most famous lover in the world...

hahaha!! I just now got this, WBB! I'm so slow, sometimes, I admit. What is this skunks name, again? I forget. Something le pew?? He's got the cool accent and I almost called him Sylvester, but that would be the cat.

Question:  On "Family Ties" television show, oldest daughter Mallory's boyfriend was played by an actor named Scott Valentine.  What was his character's name?

http://i1383.photobucket.com/albums/ah296/cecetoo/Valentines%20Day/red_heart_balloon_gift_valentine_day_smileys.gif If you want your valetine to disappear just buy em a ballon! I guess that's the message these smileys are sending, huh?
