Want a new phrase for us

Hi,

 

I would like to find a new phase for our reality, our benzo withdrawl issue.

 

I see and use "one day at a time" but it sounds like we are junkies or alcoholics.

 

We didn't choose this, our doctors did it for us.

 

I don't want to use any victim kind of saying, but something that fits us and our situation.

 

Something empowering if possible.

 

Any thoughts?

How about "We're taking back our lives!"

 

Or "I'm not going to take it anymore!"

 

Or "Free yourself and your mind will follow"
