Links missing at top of page after I log in.

Up until the last couple of days after I would log in there were 2 links at the top left of my page.  One for posts that were new since I last looked and one for replies to my posts.  BOTH of those links are gone now!  How do I get them back?

 

Also, after I log in my picture is not there and it doesn't have my name.  Help!
