Thanks for that, it was really interesting. I'm sure scientists have a field day with all these genetic modifications. But scientists always want to prolong human life. Is that a good idea with the huge world population that we have?

Anyway, people, take a look at this and learn some weird stuff. Did you know that elephants don't get cancer???

Gilly,

Glad you liked it!  I hope scientists use this info to improve our quality of life and come up with better solutions to all these chronic diseases that seem to be running rampant these days.  Imagine being immune to cancer or being disease free as long as possible...how wonderful!

Gilly, that would be great!

This is weird- I was watching TV today when a commercial came on for a drug called Prevegen.  It's supposed to help short term memory problems but, the real kicker is that they said that it contains an ingredient that was originally studied in jellyfish!!!!!  Jellyfish came in as immortal in the eternal creature article....looks like they already using some of the studies from these creatures.  I remember when shark cartilage was popular.

I heard shark cartilage might have had anti-cancer properties/benefits but, don't know much about it.  It was popular for awhile.

Oh? Interesting... There is meant to be a cure for everything, or certainly a big help, somewhere growing in the world. Kind of Yin and Yang....if the disease is there, then the cure is there. Gilly x

Gilly: Did you know that only 300,000 people live in Iceland? Nobody moves there so their DNA is all alike. That's why scientists love testing them. A bit of hanky panky there? :D
