Remembering Glenn Frey

Sad news tonight. Glenn Frey has died.

He sang lead on many great songs,

and one of them, I think, a perfect song.

Change a word or a note, and you diminish it.

Sad news indeed. So many songs were a big part of my youth. Tequila Sunrise was a particular favorite, the whole Desperado album.... I can hear any of those songs and be transported back to my teens, huddled around the stereo and being so excited about the music. A lot of loss this Jan. Bowie, Rickman, Frey.

The news stories all lead with Hotel California, but when I think of the Eagles, I always think of Desperado first.

I liked his songs, they bring back good memories . And he had so many good ones  RIP
