I read that she died, age 95, with her family in Boise, Idaho,

listening to music from her favorite movie - The Quiet Man (of course).

I'd call that passing the icing on a pretty special cake.

Personally, I preferred her in How Green Was My Valley,

which I own on DVD and I've watched already dozens of times.

But I'll watch it again this week, I'm sure.

It's stupid to fall in love with a celluloid goddess, you know.

But sometimes, it just can't be helped.

I've got that DVD (How Green Was My Valley) because I was buying films that had won Best Picture at the Oscars. So if you recommend it then I'll watch it sometime this week. Sorry for your loss as you were/are obviously a big fan. Gilly x

You have to watch How Green Was My Valley. But be warned: there are scenes that will tear your heart out.
