Long time since I posted to this thread, even though I started it! ::)

Anyway, here are a couple of little ditties from Einstürzende Neubauten:

Sabrina.

If you are feeling particularly sensitive, you might find this one a bit disturbing:

Seele Brennt (something like Burning Soul, I guess).

And now for something completely different.  ;)

Got this in an email and had to share.  There are a lot more of the same person; I'm saving them for those days I really need a laugh.

Yes, everyone loves my recommendations! :P

Here's another one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQoglWT3xV0

Yep, my tastes are quite eclectic.

This may be an obvious choice, but I think my favourire is Quiet Village. A live version here:

.

And the classic recording:

.

I also like Yma Sumac, Les Baxter, and all that tiki and cheesy listening stuff.

And, for shock value, you can't beat Mrs Miller! :o Truly the worst singer ever recorded - good for a laugh though. Here, she sings These Boots are Made for Walking:

. I just love the way she loses all sense of timing (did she have it in the first place?).

And for a change of pace: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPnVAR2oHw0. If you can, channel it through your stereo to catch the low base notes. I bought the album when a teenager, but the video trilogy (Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi & Naqoyqatsi) is well worth getting if you like this kind of stuff.

, because it puts a big grin on my face. ;D

Hi all,

I see that my last post created a lot of interest and excitement! :P:laugh: Well, maybe this will go down better:

. I saw this at the cinema as the warm-up film to The Nightmare Before Christmas - I preferred Vincent and have never forgotten it! ;)

Anyway, enjoy - or not!

Hi WW,

Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet remind me a bit of The Raveonettes. The Raveonettes are a little hit or miss, and they appear to have gone somewhat poppy, but for what it's worth, try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ga5b7ZoWg5I&feature=related.

The second video you posted reminded of another video, but the music is quite different. Still, it's great. Try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekQZPozjCX8.

An obvious choice - a band from your part of the world - but her you go: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WPOVmWzeqEo.

I was out one night about 15, 16 years ago, and almost went to see a gig of there's on the spur of the moment (here in the UK), but didn't. Lux Interior died about a year ago (I think), so I'll never see them now.
