Here's a couple from a female artist that started out country and then seemed switched over to Top 40. She's in full cowgirl garb at this show.

Let Me Be there ~ Olivia Newton John

If You Love Me Know ~ Olivia Newton John

Very very nice, tryin. When he plays with others, they're always smiling! I've been to many concerts. Last one was about 6 months ago at the Beacon Theater. Audience ranged from kids to 80s or more. Jeans and suits. Energy incredible. I don't think people go to hear songs exactly. Just to be there in his and each others presence and feel the vibes and feel amazed.

You know Steve, my first live Dylan experience was a very poor one. I saw him at Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) He came out on stage, looked like he was in a very bad mood, never said hello and played nonstop for 45 mins. without saying a word and just walked off the stage. When he never came out for an encore the people started booing and throwing stuff on the the stage.

The only other big name entertainer I saw something like that happen to live was Neil Young when he did his stint of Neil Young and the Shocking Pinks. They did some off-beat 50's style rockabilly...they got booed halfway through the show until the end. Didn't do a single one of his big hits...but I still love them both.

Here's Neil with the Pinks

It actually isn't too bad, it just isn't traditional Neil Young

"Pink" reminded me of Big Pink. Here's The Band (love then as well!) doing I shall Be Released

And here "Bob and Joni" at the same concert as Hard Rain doing I shall Be Released. Again, everyone on stage is smiling! And so is Bob at Joni! They come onto the stage at about 4:10.

Pretty much every Dylan concert I've been too, he's been mostly quiet. And when he speaks, it's not much. BUT I'll tell ya tryin, he's given me a whole lot for a long time.

Yeah, I like Randy Travis. It's a shame how his health has deteriorated. He had the same the thing that my older brother died from. Viral Cardio Myopathy. It's a virus that 1 in 100,000 people catch that ravages their heart. If you are very lucky you will survive it, but most don't. For most it's a heart transplant. Randy Travis survived it but had a stroke when he was in the hospital recovering from it.

On a happier note I thought you might like this tune:

A Thousand Miles From Nowhere ~ Dwight Yoakam

Hey Becks,

I saw in one of your posts you couldn't get on Youtube, so I thought I would post some of your stuff so the others could check 'em out. All really great classics

Oh...no question, he is so unique in so many ways. It's going to be a shame when a lot of these old greats are gone. many of them are getting up there in age. I just saw where Ringo Starr has a new album out...he's 75 now. Hard to believe. And the Stones are touring this summer. Charlie Watts is about 75 as well!

Speaking of the Stone's I really like their version of Like A Rolling Stone.

Don`t Blink ~ :(

Whoa~  Now, this really got to me.

So much truth in this, CD.

I like how the camera focused in on his hands

Hands of the elderly are so beautiful

So many stories in those hands, and you wonder how many lives those hands have touched

Really beautiful song, CD

Thank you. :smitten:
