Freeborn Man, Green Grass and Hightides,  The Outlaws.  One of the best country bands of the 1980's.  Their greatest hits albums is a masterpiece.

Marshall Tucker Band, Pure Prairie League, Charlie Daniels Band, The Judds, Reba McIntire.  So many of them.

Oh Yeah! All great! , although some could be classified as Southern Rock, but hey no one's keeping score here :)

Even the Rolling Stones did Country!

"Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground" - Willie Nelson

"Highwayman" - The Highwaymen (Willie, Kris, Johnny & Waylon)

Thanks Insomniac! Great to have an expert on board! All really great music too

This one may be borderline folk music...not really sure, but I love it! I think I'm going to add folk to the heading tho, 'cause so many seem to overlap.

Angel of Montgomery ~ John Prine and Bonnie Raitt

Great tune CD...That one brings tears to my eyes. I somehow figured there was cowboy hat and spurs that went along with that painted pony of yours.

This one's fun to watch and listen to ...

George Jones and Tammy Wynette.  Waylon Jennings. Willie Nelson.  I used to go see Gene Watson all the time at an outdoor fire company show all the time.  Farewell Party was his big hit.  The Bellamy Brothers.  The Outlaws are southern rock, I guess.  They wore cowboy hats so I guess that counts for something.
