Today- I learned that Turkey chicks are small enough to not be able to climb up a street curb. Which makes for a highly distressed mother reacting to her chicks' panicked cries when I'm trying to help it.

Today I learned that on the Oregon Coast- there are still plenty of "By-the-wind-sailors" to be found.

Late last night I learned it wasn't such a good idea to place a "By the wind sailor" on the back of my hand for closer inspection- apparently the stinging cells for one of them is the part that touched my hand.

 

Today I learned that alcohol is usually good for ridding yourself of jellyfish stinging cells burrowing into your skin.

I learned in the last 3 days:

 

1) Bengal Cats are beautiful and friendly little beasties.

 

2) Hotel room mattresses are way harder than I recalled.

 

3) College Coeds (of the UofO Variety) are stone deaf when asked if they are in line at the DQ when in a Selfie Session.
