I was thinking about a friend when this came on and I started to sing it much to my surprise  as  benzos stole my singing voice, I used to sing with a band  but while its working Imma singing!

Ditto to the above suddenly finding your singing voice 

I was thinking about a friend when this came on and I started to sing it much to my surprise  as  benzos stole my singing voice, I used to sing with a band  but while its working Imma singing! 

Ah, now, time to bored.  I'm a guitarist, so when I use the term musical voice, I mean my ability to communicate with my guitars what words disallow me to.  So, if I say, as a guitarist, I've lost my musical voice, this is different from my singing voice, which is more like a sonic death-ray than a singing voice... but I digress..

 

If I lose my musical voice, I struggle to find my notes and play properly, I can't remember the lyrics to my favourite tunes, I can't pick tunes that are relevant to certain people or moods, and I generally feel scared of the world while howling like a werewolf inside because I can't let out the emotion through my guitars.

 

For a musician it's a pretty big deal to effectively have your mouth stapled shut and your ability to communicate taken away.  So, if you're ever around a musician who can't play for some reason, there's a good chance they're hurting inside on some level.

 

Anyway, that's the subtle but raw difference betwen a singing voice and a musical voice.. in my little head, anyway.  I really don't know if I'm using terms that are confusing everyone (probably lol), but so you know, my singing voice is always bad, but my musical voice (my mojo) has returned after disappearing 3 or so weeks ago, so I can now express the pent-up emotion through my wood that I can't through my mouth right now.  That'll help my overal wellbeing.

Ps, I'm brutally honest about music, and I gave it a proper listen from start to finish as I always do, and on the grounds that the genre still sounds the same to me as it did in the 80's, I can't give it the Jobe seal-of-approval.  I can't get past that niggle, it's the musician in me.  I'm not saying it's bad, it's well put together as an R&B slide and she's got a good voice, but I need my hairs standing up.

 

ps, Bet you never expected your gracious compliment to be met with me complaining about the R&B genre being stale, did ya?

So Duane Eddy  I don't do ''Genres'' I just love music and come from a big Family of singers, musicians, dancers, showbiz people so grew up ''in the circus''  I was also able to sing from opera to rock and anything in between talking of which....Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring Stuart Smith (guitar), Richie Onori (drums), Ray Rodriguez (keyboards) and Ricky Phillips (bass) performing their version of Bachs song.
