PD, your right on that point ! Not sure what Album that was from but i remember my Aunt teaching me to do the Twist at the age of 4 and she also got me my first Beatle`s Album then also ! Thank You for the smile ! ~ CD  Here is the first 45 that was bought for me as a kid i might have been 6 - 8 years old lol i wonder if you remember this one

OMG!!!!!  I can't believe you chose that one!  You and I are on some special vibe this morning!  ;)  This brings back such special memories for me.  My grandmother had this song on one of her albums.  I remember I loved it and used to play it on her record player.  We used to dance to it!  She had a record player that was enclosed in in a wood cabinet, which also had room for some of her records.  It was big enough to sit on the floor alone.  It was something like this, only not quite as big and it didn't have legs:

Yes, I remember Engelbert Humperkink and Tom Jones!  Your dad and my dad must have been a lot alike.  My dad also listened to Chet Atkins.  :)  My dad was mostly a country fan, but he also liked the Beach Boys.  I remember he bought an 8-track tape of the Beach Boys and I played it so much it wore it out!  :laugh:  I like the Beach Boys too!

Very cool memories Tex!  I don't know what half the cars are OR what half the music is on the radio any more.  :P  I'm glad I'm not the only old one around here.  My mother's favorite music is the type of music from the Sleepless in Seattle soundtrack.  I'll have to admit, it's pretty good stuff...
