Yes I have. Many are the times in my past I'd have chosen to live alone, and then...I did. For far too long I was alone. I've not quite recovered from that episode.  Social interactions are difficult. As I cannot seem to quite grasp the concept of what is appropriate behavior.

 

Living alone on a deserted island- on the surface, it sounds nice.  BUT.

 

And this is the important BUT.

 

You're alone. Meaning- that if you got say....a medical emergency. You're screwed. With me, getting over a very painful gall bladder- I realized that there was no way I could've 'toughed it out'. A gangrenous gall bladder would've killed me, in a very painful manner.  The same with a 'simple' toothache. Which would be very painful to the point that it would eventually abscess.

Assuming that I didn't figure out some way of removing said tooth. Which in and of itself would've been quite painful.

 

We can live on an island, but we're not islands. We need others.

 

But it's nice to get some privacy away from others.

 

Being depressed- makes you want to get away from others. That's the time you need to be around someone else. Preferably someone else who is willing to try and help you through the dark times.

Yes i ate a ghost pepper for 5 bucks and my throat closed up and couldn't breathe or see and i honestly thought i was ganna die. I couldt get out of bed for 2 days and it was just as messed up coming out!

I remember trying just a dab of something called Insanity Salsa. Two hours later I was still crying. The numb spot on my tongue didn't go away for a couple of weeks.

Nope, sure haven't. I actually had to look it up to make sure... as I was unsure of what exactly it is.

Way too often.  Just recently my doc 'forgot' to alter my prescription for an antidepressant to reflect his recommendation for a doubling of the dosage.

Thus I needed another bottle long before the insurance would pay for another...

As a matter of fact- yes. I just recently got enough energy to go through some kitchen cabinets and the like and threw out a ton of previously good food. One can had a sell by date of Mar/2003.  Several other cans were bulging.
