That's fully my intention.    I have one dear friend on this forum who refers to me as the Music Queen (a lofty and

unwarranted title that I humbly disagree with...but I do enjoy music).

 

From one  music aficionada to another, I just googled  members of the Yardbirds   

:Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck ( were a few of them ).

 

Music has always been a  hobby of mine.

 

Here's a great one:

 

Singer:  Vera Lynn  / other singers:  Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, 

Harry Connick Jr, Rod Stewart, and many others

                       

"A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square" ( I think this song was written in the late 30s)

 

Another:

 

Singer:  Nina Simone  /other singers:  Jeff Buckley, Katie Melua, Susan Boyle, Imelda May,

and many others - even heard a rendition of this on  "American Idol"

 

"Lilac Wine"  (I think this song was written in 1950)
