I know what you mean.    My husband was a great fan, but that was a long time ago.  The first time we went to London, he dragged me all over looking for a "tardis."

Have been one for nigh on 35 years. First saw the Tom Baker Doctor (Pyramids of Mars) on PBS. Hooked ever since. Colin Baker imitation coat hanging in my closet, and I enjoy the new(er) series.

 

As to a Police Box, you could always build one.  I knew a guy in Tacoma Washington who built one and it was on his front yard.
