Hello Steve, my friend. Thank you. I think that group sounds quite incredible.  PS.  Please keep me posted about Dylan material. It is

rather hidden on youtube. I so enjoy his music.  Many hugs for you.    :smitten:

Well, I decided to see how many covers of One Too Many Mornings I could find in 30 seconds. (Just kidding; 5 minutes; kidding again; 15 minutes; kidding again?)

But first, a cup of Lovin' Spoonful

A woman wears a certain look when she is on the move? (is this true?)

I wonder how many arguments these songs inspired. And I now wonder why Mr. Puckett chose "deceiptful relationship" songs!!! :) Good, wholesome memories of drivin' around in a convertable in college wonderin' if your girlfriend is cheatin' on ya!

Well Steve, I'm sure it is.  And, here is the look I tend to wear  with a little bit of  >:D thrown in for good measure ;)

I had no idea that the song Woman was from 68.  Good tune!

It's really amazing the good memories music can evoke...isn't it :)

Green Onions - Booker T and the MGS!!!!! Yahhoooo! Loved that album and wish I still had it.

I watched a Spike Lee movie several nights ago. Wasn't a great movie (Crooklyn) but the music was divine. I grew up in Washington DC, on R&B music. That's what was played on the radios in the 50's and early 60's. When I was 11 (1961, God help me-) the new "hip" music started getting played. My older sister introduced me to it all, including the Beatles, Stones, and all the San Francisco stuff.

I saw so many of those people live: Jimi, Janis, The Doors, Van Morrison, Beatles, Stones, Creedance, The Mothers, The Velvet Underground....name a group and I probably saw them live. The best shows were Jimi Hendrix's, in my mind.

Can't beat the 60s for music!      :)

The above is "Jennifer" - Bert Sommer.  Love this clip!  You're probably familiar with it.

:)

NICE! :) It's true about the 60s. My 26 year old son and his friends listen to 60s music still! When I was in college, we predicted that, unlike us (who did not care for 30s music) our kids would probably listen to 60s music.

Last night, while in a diner, some guy, in a conversation at a nearby table mentioned "Jay and the Americans!" Coincidence!? :) One of my favorite groups (perhaps my favorite) before the Beatles redid the 60s! :)
