Stevesny Great songs from the stones, I have to admit I liked their music more than I liked the Beetles.

Hey Jaddy, interesting that you say that. I was just talking about that with someone the other day. How there were kinda 2 camps. And it's interesting that the "peace" group developed acrimony and broke up, while the "Satanic" group stayed together. AND all seem like nice guys!

Stevesny...Wow I didn't know that the Rolling Stones were "Satanic." But your right, looked it up and they are. I just liked the beat and the rhythm of their songs. Half the time I couldn't understand what they were saying....Guess I don't like them anymore, they don't fit into being a Christian...shame on me.

The stones have a song about the devil.  I forget what it's called.  Also, they did Mother's Little Helper, about valium.

Nice Jaddy...

Made me think of "I Think It's Going to Rain Today." Incredible song written by Randy Newman, and sung by Judy Collins in 1966. And Randy as well in 68. This here is a more recent version by Norah Jones, which I found on youtube. Really nice video as well.

Wow, Stevesny, had to get some tissues for that song, brought tears to my eyes...I'm a little on the sensitive side. What a beautiful, sad song. I've never heard it before...Thank You for posting the video also.

Now, after getting my composure together went looking to see what other songs I remember from the 1060's. How about this one? Yea, I'm back to my bobbing around music.

Nice 1 again, Jaddy!

Randy has an incredible touch for irony, and the video in this version is amazing too. I'm on the sensitive side too and even more so from my taper!

Here's one that really brings ya back!

Well hey Jaddy, certainly did remember that! Haven't thought of that maybe for I don't know how long.

Here's another: Paul Mauriat, Love is Blue. You know, this song actually did give me a blue-ish feeling back then, and actually still does.

Stevesny, we're getting a little melancholy here....I remember the music of "Love is Blue" but I didn't know that was the name of the song.

Here is another song that I know you will remember, plus the Movie was a real tear jerker...

Theme song from "Love Story."  "Love means never having to say your sorry" popular line from the movie.....

Wow, Jaddy! Melancholy? I actually searched on sad 1960s songs, but nothing could top this movie! So let me try and reverse this trend, at least for one song. The year was 1967:

I cheated Stevesny...Love Story came out in 1970, but what's one year, among friends.

Glad you decided to liven things up a little.

How about CCR.    1969  I really loved CCR's music...still do!

I bet that was one awesome Festival Stevesny....I grew up in South Jersey so I'm quite familiar with Atlantic City...more so before the Casinos came there. In August of 1969 I was a mother of a 1 year old with another on the way....missed that Festival
