BenzoBuddies: Celebrating 20 Years of Support

On September 19th, 2024, BenzoBuddies celebrates 20 years of providing benzodiazepine withdrawal support. Please use this space to update your Success Story, share how BB helped you, detail your experiences at BB, give shout-outs to members with whom you might have lost contact, or for any other content related to how BB has helped you.

This forum is intended for old and new members alike. Post a thread about any BB-related topic you think other members will find uplifting or interesting. This forum will stay open until the end of 2024.

Suggested topics for a thread:

  • You are a returning member and would like to update your Success Story
  • You are a returning member and would like to post a belated Success Story (short and sweet, or long-form, as you prefer)
  • You would like to give a shout-out to old members with whom you have lost contact (see Tip, below)
  • You would like to tell us about what you have been up to since you were last active at BB, your ambitions, hopes for the future, etc.
  • You wish to share happy, funny or poignant memories from your time at BB
  • You would like to share uplifting/helpful links or information
  • You are celebrating taking your last dose
  • You wish to share a major milestone (benzo-related or not)
  • You wish to post a memorial for a Buddie
  • Anything else you think would be a good fit for this forum.

Tip: use @mentions. If you hit the '@' key and immediately start typing a username, a drop-down list is generated - click your target username. This '@mention' (example: @magrita) will create a notification for the member when they login (or even send them an email if they have enabled this for their account) so that they know about your post. This will help you reconnect with old friends. The @mention also links to their profile.
