[...]
Anybody had any problem with this? I was hoping it was just "benzo flu" but it's the real thing. The doctor prescribed Tamiflu and I'm going to try to take it in a little bit, but I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with this either way. [...]
Anyone? I haven't taken it yet but I'm freaking out because I was doing Google searches and one website (although not a very reliable one, it looked like an opiate withdrawal form or something) said that Tamiflu was a "GABA-A negative allosteric modulator"...just like quinolone antibiotics! [...]
Tamiflu is a neuraminidase inhibitor, it should be safe.
[...]
Thanks, I actually decided not to take it though. Too many other side effects...apparently a LOT of people end up throwing up from taking it, for instance. It's supposed to shorten the illness by a day or so, but I'd rather deal with an extra day of it than be throwing up. Thanks for your response though. Heard the same thing, shortens the length of the flu by a day....for more side effects? Don't think it is worth it, and you never know how it will react with you.
