[ne...]
Hi, The best advice I can give you is to reinstate at your last dose and see if that helps. It seems like you jumped based on your tag line. The equivalent amount of Valium to .125 of K is 2.5mg. This may seem like a small amount but it isn't to your body. You still need time to adjust, Ashton is wrong about jumping. Last time I checked, she never withdrew from Benzo's. You should taper to 0 in order to try to avoid protracted withdrawal. If you didn't jump, please disregard above but please consider reinstating because at this point it is the only thing that will ease your symptoms. You have nothing to lose, it could really help you. If it helps, restart your taper after you start feeling better and keep tapering down....don't jump again. All the best, Newrain

[ne...]
Ok. Have one other suggestion and that is to try a very low dose of different benzo like Librium which has a very long half life and is very weak. Highly doubtful that it will slow your heart down at the incredibly small dose you would need to take to help you feel better. That being said, it sounds like you trust your doctor so maybe he/she could give you better advice. Why not give him/her a ring? especially since you were in the ER since they need to know that too. Good luck, Newrain

[we...]
Congratulations on being benzo free. I agree with the other posters and that your jump was quite high. Ashton recommends a two-week window to reinstate if you're going to do it. Withdrawal is not fun at all, as you are discovering. I found it useful to see who else was getting off Benzos at the same time as me and to follow their progress. If you go to benzo free celebration, you will see who else has jumped at the same time as you. Try to stay in the moment, sleep when you can, eat small meals throughout the day, gentle exercise if you can, spend time in support groups, remain in a stress-free environment to the extent that you can. Don't worry about exposure right now, once you are well you can tackle stressors, now is the time to heal. Congratulations, you did it.

[no...]
I'm going to contradict a bit, but after my two reinstatement attempts, and the resulting w/ds...I say stick with it. If your aim is to be off benzos, you are already there. There is no certainty that reinstatement would provide you an easier ride down the next time. It simply did not work that way for me, and after my experiences with it, I strongly advise against it. W/D sucks, and there is no easy way through it, but its is doable. I found Benzo-Wise and the Bliss John videos to be very helpful in the course of this...this 3 yr, 3 taper, 3 jump, 7 month ride. If I can finally do it, anyone can. [da...]
Distraction, distraction, distraction! I cold turkeyed and I was miserable for a while. Every minute lasted a lifetime. I read A LOT, tried (not too successfully) to watch tv and tried anything to not think about how I felt. Hot baths seemed to help a little too. I downloaded the Moron Test app on my smartphone and that actually kept me amused for quite a while. You'll pull through! And keep talking to us if it helps! We've all been there!
