[He...]
Hi all, Needing some support, seem to be in an acute phase and have not w/d yet, serious D/R, sounds are shooting through me, sooo painful, seem to have lost contact with the world altogether, I mean I am functioning, in that I can talk and such like, even walked for 1/2 an hour there, but God it was hell. I levelled out and held a taper around five weeks ago, as I was getting anxiety and fairly hefty depressive days, been going downhill since, physical pain is abismal, real bad skin pain, feet are ice cold and stinging, sleeping around 3 hours, no motivation at all, I would lie down all day if I could get any rest, but lying is as bad as anything else I do. Is there like a time frame to level out on when you are holding, like x-time to x-time on average? I have an underlying medical condition, but all the symptoms fit with W/D (checked) and they all started tail end of the taper, feel so sick, and legs are all jelly like, like I am going to fall over, new pain every day, pulse is racing, anxiety in the stomach area is out of control and my thoughts have a mind of their own (and it aint nothin like mine). Love to hear of similar stories, did you get any windows? I am holding till this (hopefully) passes, could not bear it to get any worse, was there last year. How do you cope, I have a load of coping strategies, but I can't seem to hold it together to even start to put one in practise. Help! I need it bad today - Please
[os...]
Sometimes making miniscule cuts can actually make us feel better (believe it or not), i am hoping others chime in soon, i am sorry you are suffering... i hope things improve real soon. [He...]
Oscar - do you mean making miniscule cuts when feeling like this? Or making miniscule cuts when tapering? Thank you so much for the reply, been hovering over PC since I posted, feel close to not being able to cope with this.
[os...]
Have you tried titration? Or are you dry cutting? When i say minuscule cuts, i mean via titrating from a liquid... then cuts can be very, very tiny and often can bring relief... as odd as that may sound, Mimi on here found this to be the case and often, i have also... i was holding recently and felt OK but once i started tiny cuts again i am feeling even better. [Bi...]
Hi there, Some cuts was worse than others. The d/r I have had 8 months straight with a few windows. I just go along with it, though it can be pretty intense at times. I figure that I must be healing more and more.. the more symptoms I have between windows. Hang in there, Billy. Oscar Oscar, I am using liquid, got away with cutting 0.2ML (10ML = 4MG) every week from 10ML to 3.6ML, then started feeling bad, held for three weeks or so then cut another 0.1ML, am holding now for a few weeks, but been getting worse daily it seems, with short tolerable times. Again, sorry, probably me, but are you suggesting miniscule cuts now? Or when I start to taper again?, still not quite sure what you mean. Thanks a lot for the support. Billy, 8 months straight D/R? You are one strong lady. In an odd sort of way I like to hear things like that, not that I like you are suffering I really hope it passes for you, just that my journey is not abnomally abnormal, if you get me. Thanks so much for the support, really needing it just now.
[Pr...]
I agree with Oscar. Since I started micro-cutting I am feeling much better! Mimi knows her stuff! Check out her posts. I think they will help you. I am so sorry you are suffering. Hang in there my friend! Blessings, Pam
[os...]
The smallest reductions (cuts) possible, you can take out less to get you moving along again... try mtmimi´s blog "Love In The Time Of Valium"... it´s quite far back in the blog section but type mtmimi into the member search, you will learn a lot from her blog. Hang in there. Oscar
[ak...]
Henry, I didn't taper I did c/t but my symptoms were identical to yours at 2-4 months out...things got REALLY bad mentally at about 2-1/2 months out paralyzing anxiety and depression, obsessive doom and gloom thoughts, barely able to shower and brush teeth I was such a mental mess...insomnia, weak heavy limbs absolutely NO motivation but unable to really rest...it really turned around at 4 months for me (everyone is different) but hang in there it WILL get better...the worst of the physical symptoms were over at about 2 months but then the mental really kicked in, which in my opinion were much harder to handle than all the physical stuff...best of luck to you. [He...]
Excuse and forgive me for asking...did you take V for only a month?? Belle Belle, no, I took 10-15mg for around a month or 6 weeks, (can't remember exactly now) Then cut to 6mg, (hell) then four months later cut to 2mg in a month before reinstating at 4mg, (100 X hell which lasted 6 months) then I went to liquid V and cut real slow, thought I was doing well, got from 10ML (10ML = 4MG) to 3.6ML, took almost 5 months to drop the equivalent of 2.6G - now I am finding myself in deep water again, holding for a stable period before I begin tapering once more. [He...]
Oscar and Mimi, I checked out Mimi's blog, she cut 15mg in 15 months, I have cut down close at close to half that rate and I am at a wall :'( Am i just hypersensitive? Should I make even smaller cuts, as my body is obviously screaming out at me in alarm at the moment? Also, I noticed on Mimi's blog that she cut fractions daily, I cut once a week 2ML (10ML = 4MG liquid). You think that makes any difference? I so want off it, and I think psychologically I could handle hell better once I was free, I feel disgusted putting that syringe into my mouth every night, as you can imagine. I don't mind making micro cuts, that's really what I have been doing from 4mg. Any ideas?
[Ca...]
Henry, I am a bit confused with your equivalent mg. I thought 10ml = 5.00 mg. I have planned my taper as below - approx. every 3 weeks depending on body reaction. Please could someone advise. 9ml 4.50 8ml 4.00 7.5ml 3.75 7ml 3.50 6.5ml 3.25 6ml 3.00 5.5ml 2.75 5ml 2.50 4.5ml 2.25 4ml 2.00 3.5ml 1.75 3ml 1.50 2.5ml 1.25 2ml 1.00 1.5ml 0.75 1ml 0.50 0.5ml 0.
[He...]
I don't know Carlton, I had thought there were two types of Liquid V, one 10ML=10MG, the other, (one I have) is deinitely 10ML = 4MG. Bottle I have is "Actavis" Diazepam Oral Solution says on the bottle 2MG or 5ML. I have never heard of a 10ML = 5MG bottle, check the bottle it should tell you. [ma...]
We actually don't KNOW this will get better. We just "hang in there" and stay on the Internet alot.
[Ca...]
Henry, Just looking at my Nitrazepam bottle. It says each 5ml contains 2.5mg Nitrazepam, so it is different from your liquid Valium. We must persevere with our tapering and hopefully be free eventually.
