One year

Hi BB,

I would like to preface for all that read this, that when people like me complain, it is nothing like what you are currently going through.  I don't have the window/wave thing anymore.  The hell stopped last October.

I can't believe it has been one year.  A year ago I was bedridden for about a month, and went another month in bed and about four months after that house bound.  In October, the hell stopped.  One day a window opened, and it never closed.  I kept waiting for the wave, trying not to get my hopes up, but it never came back.

I am not saying I am the person I was before all of this began.  I am still avoidant of stress and that is inching better, but I just got in from tanning out by the pool, because its my day off (I have had a six month seasonal job).  There are so many things that have gotten better since a year ago.  I hope this year will be the dramatic progression that last year was.  It's hard to measure this sickness in days...you need to look at more in the three month increments.  I suspect it will be one year more year before completely normal but since I am not in hell any longer, I can deal with it.  I don't want to jump off a bridge anymore like I once did.  It has been easy to forget how sick I was but I am glad I remember it so I don't take days like today, for granted.  I could go through the whole gammit of my experience but I have a blog (for anyone who is interested.)

Congrats JJ!

I just hit my one year recently too. Wish I had a pool (and nicer weather) to go tanning by!  That sounds divine right about now. I just did a mystic tan last week so I'm not as pasty.

You are absolutely right about remembering the bad times and not taking days for granted. One good thing to come out of this!
