Anyone get tongue twitching?

[cn...]

Recommended Posts

I'm a little over 5 months out. Doing great! Still have some minor twitching going on. This has been with me since weening/jumping. It doesnt hurt.

But I noticed every now and then, my tongue in a small spot will be twitching/quivering in a tiny tiny area. But only lasts a second, and is not painful. Just weird feeling.

Is this still a w/d related symptom? I don't worry about having MS or any weird CNS disease. But it's always nice to see that I'm not alone. =)

LOVE!

I haven't experienced it in my tongue, but I do know that twitching can be part of the w/d sxs.

Wishing you well ...

yup, but it seems to be a bit more directly related to my hypnic jerks than to generalized muscle spasms.

Best wishes.

Thanks guys. Anyone else??? I don't want to feel a lone. lol. Even though I'm not worried about it. However, I did find this online.

BFS (benign fasciculation syndrome) can also be attributed to long term use of anticholinergics such as diphenhydramine and opiates such as morphine, but the latter case is usually when withdrawal symptoms are present.

I'm assuming benzo w/d can do the same thing? I sure hope it's not one of those symptoms that won't ever leave b/c the benzo screwed something up in my CNS for good. Not that I couldnt live with it. It's not annoying or painful. Just something that reminds me of benzo w/d ya know?

I wouldn't worry about it so much, if it's something weird and not potentially fatal then it's withdrawal and it will go away on it's own sooner or later, and twitchy body parts is about as benzo as it gets.

I am still tapering but I get the tingling, twitching in a tiny spot as well.  I find it kind of amusing as long as it doesn't start taking over.

Comes and goes and only last for a few seconds.  I chalk it up as withdrawal, and don't worry about it.
