My improvement is soooooooo slow.....I'm starting to get depressed again. I'm just so tired and my brain feels tired 24 hours a day.... Shouln't I get some kind of break???

Welcome to the benzofree world.  You are now in what most call acute w/d that could last a month or two but don't fret things do get better but it's a very slow process.  Some people have windows and some don't.  None of this process makes any sense you just have to be patient and wait things out.  6-12 months is a very rough estimate for recovery so the one thing you can't do is put a timeframe on recovery it will only make the depression worse if you don't hit your mark.  Just learn coping skills and do your best to live in the present moment.

Harlotte-

Just checking in to see how you are doing.  We were both on (well I am still tapering) Ativan and noticed we have many of the same symptoms--I still feel very fatigued every day and have stiff/weak muscles (I am not sure which, just that I can't walk very well).  Very very low energy too.  Just checking in and hope you get a "window" soon!!

XO,

Tina

Well I was lucky. Usually the last part of the day things eased up, and I had a decent window the 5th day benzo free. And yes, you "should" get better . . .  if only life were fair!! I hope you get some relief soon. Very often when we're the most discouraged is when we get a little break.
