Ive posted many many times the past couple of weeks about an achy skin type feeling that started,  then on top of that got lower back stiffness,  pretty much in a constant spasm for a week, thats getting better. But now my left shoulder blade is still giving me the achy skin feeling and today my right shoulder blade muscles are sore as heck. Im not doing anything to cause this. I googled fibromyalgia and achy skin and that came up as a symptom. Many people w/fibro on forums complain about it.  Think this is w/d or a chance of fibro?  Im only 28time and im male,  are chances slim?  My aunt supposedly has fibro and so does my cousin.  But they are both women.  Thanks!

Prof Aston address this in her list of symptoms

i have the same thing going on

also look into trigger points which are commonly confused with fibro

google trigger points

i have them in my neck and other areas

they cause those symptoms

I thought the same as you after 7 months straight of w/d and Fatigue was severe.Muscles were so painful and weak. Fibro mimics W/D.. Ofcourse getting checked is never a bad thing. But this w/d does mimic very simular sxs// Mines all better now. Thank God I can say it Leaves..

I was diagnosed with fibro in my first few months by A Dr. @ Emory, internal med. Wanted me to go to Rheumatologist to confirm but I knew in my heart it was withdrawal. Give it awhile longer to settle down. I wish I hadn't gone symptom chasing early on - it was so stressful emotionally going to all the Dr.s and being treated or should I say not treated the way i was. I hope you begin to get some relief soon.

most likely w/d sx. i c/td from 0.25 mg xanax 16 yrs. ago. i had unexplained abdominal pain for a good many years. went through a lot of tests. finally found that a hot shower or a hot tub treatment gave me relief. then a few years down the road got back on benzos. :( try hot shower.
