Had to take 10 mg Valium for MRI.

I have been off Ativan since January 13 2012. I had to have a brain MRI last Sarturday and had to take 10 mg Valium because I am very claustrophic in the machines. However since I took the Valium I felt like I started having withdrawal symptoms form the one dose of 10 mg Valium. It made me depressed but I am slowly getting better.  Today is day nine since I took the Valium. Should it be out of my system completely yet?  Could the one dose of Valium caused withdrawal symptoms?

I guess because you are pretty newly off it's certainly possible that the Valium gave your system a jolt.  There's a thread about how long benzos stay in your system and the subject is not an easy one.  And, of course, Valium takes longer to leave your system than almost all other benzos.  At least you know this little flare, if that's what it is, won't last.  I had to do the same thing for an MRI; I hate that little tube and that infernal banging!  That banging would have been enough to send my nervous system into overdrive even if the tube did not.
