Being hit hard for some reason

This week has been brutal.  I don't know what is going on, but no windows, none.  The extreme hunger, the horrible night sweats (literally soaking my clothes and sheets) every night this week, tightness in my head that is not letting up, and good 'ol brain fog...I woke up twice last night to eat, and even when I ate it just wasn't enough.  I am being slammed right now, and I need a break:(Just do not feel good at all

Me too, with the night sweats!  What really annoys me is those who don't understand benzo w/d are telling me I'm going through menopause!  I get so sick of having to correct them and say, "uh, no actually, this is just another symptom."  I have been tracking the waves this month and suspect that my night sweats do increase at certain times in my cycle, so I guess hormones do play a part in all this. But please, menopause!!! I couldn't imagine. Just think, when the real menopause does hit, it'll be a piece of cake compared to benzo w/d!! LOL!!!

I'm beginning to suspect that my increase in symptoms after a long slow decrease may be due to allergies revving up my system.  Any thoughts?

Hey, I was wondering that too! Because I too was doing great for about 9, 10 days and then my hayfever started up and so did my symptoms again. Strange. But probably not impossible.

I'm now Very interested in this topic as I too fight horrific allergies and thus time of year is by far the worst. I've noticed that when allergy counts are high I do seem to notice an increase in wd symps

Well, maybe that's good then. Because we know for sure that the allergies will subside when the pollen counts go down. If our symptoms are being revved up by the allergies then we have hope that they too will subside with the allergies. As if we all haven't put up with enough already, now we have itchy, watery eyes and running noses! LOL!!!

Wierd, I'm having a horrible time right now and pollen counts are through the roof. I'm also very allergic. I take an antihistamine and it keeps me from sneezing and from my eyes watering too much, but I can still feel the "inflamation" in my nose and throat. I also think it brings on brain fog for me. Whatever the cause, I would like for this to subside. Anxiety is high, brain fog, muscle tightness and weakness.

Benzo3, I am just suffering through it because I'm too scared to take any anti-histamines. The last thing I need is more brain fog and that's exactly what anti-histamines have always done to me in the past. I've got enough of that already on a daily basis thanks to benzos!

What I have used though is that nose spray Fluticsone. Hmmm ... wonder if that can give you medicene head too?

Thanks, Monyd. A quick view of the internet revealed this, don't know how much trust to put in it as it is anecdotal evidence. There is a link to dealing with the allergies, but I thought it was interesting that it does mention a flare up of symptoms being possible. I think this was the UK Benzo.org page.

"Some people who suffer from allergies can get flare ups in symptoms such as feeling lethargic and headachy not to mention the typical allergic symptoms of sneezing and itching. Allergies are when the body mistakenly attacks a harmless protein thinking it is a virus infection and may cause some symptom increase in benzo withdrawal especially headaches and feeling run down with disturbed sleep etc. By going to this page on hayfever and allergies allergy sufferers who are also withdrawing from benzodiazepines can find some useful tips on dealing with allergies including some great non drug solutions."
