[as...]
I am a little over a year off. While many of the symptoms have lessoned, some have vanished and some still rear their ugly heads, yesterday a disturbing thing happened. I know it has happened before it is just now I am more aware of its occurance and wanted to ask others if they have experienced this. I was eating breakfast yesterday when I felt an odd internal vibration then a sense of panic/anxiety. It lasted for about 15 minutes, but since then I have felt "out" of it. I have had the headache and neckache so common for the last couple of days. But this episode left me feeling depressed, hard to focus, a bit dizzy and distant from myself. As though the moment of panic was the beginning of this latest cluster of symptoms. What is it that there was a sudden change? Like whatever happened in my brain to cause the vibrations and panic set off this latest...I am soooo weary of this.
[pa...]
Astoria, I am so sorry you are experiencing this, though, by your signature you have been off a very short time; these are wds you are experiencing. Unfortunately, this is part of the process of this. The most important, you tapered off of the drug and you are off. At this time, you have the information at hand from this site and Prof Ashton's manuel (sure you read), there are wds to go through. Most important, this is the time to learn coping skills. You can go to YouTube, download about proper breathing/meditation techniques, go to Benzo-recovery.org, listen to BlissJohns (even on utube), apply the techniques. Its takes small steps in doing this, but these are saviors going through this and will help lessen the anxiety in dealing with the wds. I hope you apply some of these, they work. I promise you, you will be fine. There is a process to this healing, our systems take care of that automatically, we cannot control that, but we can help it with these techniques. Please try to do them. Best to you, Patty
[as...]
Hi Pattylu, thank you for the encouragement. But, did you read my sig correctly? I have been off for 1 year and 2 weeks. A looong time, but maybe it is a short time in the grand scheme of things.

[pa...]
Hi Pattylu, thank you for the encouragement. But, did you read my sig correctly? I have been off for 1 year and 2 weeks. A looong time, but maybe it is a short time in the grand scheme of things. Hi, finally found your post again.. Dummy me!! Oh.. know you want all this behind you. Congratulations being off one year plus... though, your system needs to heal. My hubby has been off 14 months, things have been changing, but he is not healed yet. This is the same for many bbs. I know it is upsetting, and all think HOW MUCH LONGER. All I can say, it does changes, all leaves, I was through it and I healed and got my life back, and so you will. Just try to find good coping skills during this time to help you through this. There are many on YouTube. My prayers are with you.. You will get there, just stay as strong as you can, use your true inner strength, and believe me.. you have that!!! Stay posting. Hugs, Patty
