Hi Smuel,

I know the crap feeling intimately.  Is there anything that helps you with the brain fog?  I just go into slow motion and try and distract myself with silly TV.  It makes me feel like I have a brain injury.  I guess in a sense we have a temporary brain malfunction.  I can only imagine how disturbed our family members/friends get when they see us in this temporary state.  :) Many Hugs, Klonkers

Sorry you are experiencing this. Take a deep breathe. And just tell yourself "this is just an uncomfortable sensation, but it will leave!" Say that over and over again.

Does exercise help at all? Taking a nice hot relaxing bath?

Hang in there. You'll find your key in coping with it. =) It will pass... try and find some peace in the brain fog. I know that sounds so hard to do... but sometimes we can just accept it for what it is... it's not harmful to you, it cant hurt  you... its just uncomfy... so ride it out. Keep your head up. =)

cnotr-thanks for the tips, I really do have to remind myself that it won't hurt me, because sometimes I feel like something is really wrong...Exercise can help sometimes yes, sometimes, it just helps me calm down, so I exercise everyday, even if it is taking a walk outside.  I think when I can accept it and stop fighting it, things might turn around for me.:) Thank you:)

Klonkers-When I get in those modes, I just stop what I am doing and go sit down and watch tv:)  I get on benzo's to vent and talk to people, that does usually help:) I know my family must just think, she has lost it! Hang in there klonkers, I am rooting for you, I know you are still pretty early in the process:)

mmgc- thx for the support, you have helped out a lot:)

I think you are in the middle of one of the hardest stages of withdrawal. At two months I expected to be feeling better, but had actually felt better at one month and was worse at two months.

Yeah, keep in mind that you're not being hurt. Nor is anyone else. We FEEL miserable but can walk, talk and act pretty normal despite all that. It made me appreciate how many systems the body has that makes us feel OK.

no I love tetris, if I had it I would play it!  I play solitaire on my ipod, or this stupid bubble game, it helps:)

Yeah I had that at the first of the wothdrawal. It scared me so much I gave up driving for a few weeks. Right now I drive as little as possible because I am afraid of the brain fog.

Yea me too, I had my mom doing a lot of the driving the first month.  I still try to avoid it right now, I will go to the store and things that I have to do by myself, but for the most part, I park my butt on the couch:( I am actually driving an hour to acupuncture there and back right now, which suuuuucks, but I do it because it helps, I hate it though!

When I get through work and get through taking care of the kids, I often distract myself with a video game. Not for everyone, but running around as a superhero can make me forget my troubles for a bit.

I need to work, but starting a new job just scared me at this point, I mean learning new info??I dont think so, that would actually help the time pass, but I need a easy job where I don't have to think...haha seriously.  I wish I had my little one to look after too, might make this less painful...

If I had the money, which I don't, I'd purchase a camera for you and your child and send it to you. That's how much I think Skyping would help you. Yeah, it would be hard in a sense too, but it would be very rewarding to hear and see your child, even if virtually.

Hugs to you,

Great news! You're going to really enjoy it! And it will be so good for the little one to hear her mommy and see her face!
