[sa...]
I have sort of a unique situation. I've been on Temazapam for over a week, and I know I developed a dependency already, possibly even tolerance withdrawals. Yes, I am that sensitive. Could someone help me to plan a sensible taper? I was nearly killed from a Xanax CT about 3 1/2 years ago, and that was after only three weeks of use. So I am understandably frightened of what is going to happen to me when I withdraw from the Temazapam. I'm already extremely exhausted and ill from months of insomnia, anxiety, and depression. The Temazapam has given me the first sleep I've had in a long time. But I obviously can't stay on it, and the longer I stay on it of course, the harder it will be to get off. Advice please? [La...]
Hi, I am withdrawing from temaz using the water titration method, the capsules come apart with gentle persuasion and I dump the 30mg of powder into a container with a 100ml of water in it and then I have been drawng off only a ml per day, that is very slow but I was on this med for over 20 yrs so you could go faster to be off sooner. [sa...]
Thank you! I had thought about doing that too, but wasn't sure if it would work. I'm already dumping the powder into applesauce because I'm allergic to the dye in the capsules. I just need a reliable way to measure the water and the doses. Anybody have experience with tapering after short term use?
[Ho...]
I understand what you've said about being sensitive to medications...which is why I am hesitant to suggest a long drawn out taper. If you're so sensitive to the effects, you could develop tolerance withdrawal, depending on how long you draw the taper out. It's hard to give you any advise. I would normally suggest a much faster taper, or in the case of only being on a week, no taper at all. Having said that, if you're interested in titration, we have a titration section. If you look at the sticky topics at the top of the titration board, there's lots of information there. There is a video as well that I think you'll find helpful. [sa...]
I'm already experiencing tolerance withdrawal I think. I'm pretty scared. I don't really know what to do. When I stop the med, I'm going to stop sleeping again, and that's what ended me up in the hospital with suicidal depression. I'm really between a rock and a hard place. The other thing that comes into play is that when I was in the hospital last week, I tried all kinds of medication that made me extremelly ill, so it's very difficult to sort out what is going on right now, whether withdrawal or illness from all the meds which maybe still haven't made their way out of my body. [13...]
Hi Sagemom, I was on Temazepma for 25 years and im off it and doing fine. I took it slow over eight months and can now sleep very well in fact i am better off without it. At first i cut my pills up and took quarters out then found this site and at the end did the titeration method in milk. I measured the milk in a baby feeding bottle or you can use a measuring jug. Hope you feel better soon. Katie
