[Iw...]
Hi everyone, So I am wondering...I have been in pain the last 5 years of my life, but the body pain has been about the last 3. I have been on klonopin for 3.5 years now. Was put on it due to interstitial cystitis (bladder disease). I am a little over a month into my taper from .5 mg and am now at .25 and going to stay for another 2 weeks til I go back to the dr. to discuss further tapering. I am wondering with all of this body pain if it should all be contributed to the fibro and sjogrens syndrome (both cause bodily pain) or if I have been perhaps in some sort of interdose or tolerance wd in addition or the whole time. I have prior to my taper and now during my taper alot of burning pain. My entire body burns. I do take prescirbed pain meds for the "fibro/sjorens" and they do help. I am just real curious if other people hurt everywhere even prior to wd. I think I am wishful thinking here hoping others will chime in and say yes...so I can really, really look forward to getting off of this completely. I have been in pain for a few years now. [da...]
I was dx'd with fibro many years before ever taking a benzo. My pain has always been a burning ache. However since withdrawing, it has escalated ten fold...I feel like I stuck my arms and legs in a beehive then set myself on fire. For me, w/d has made it so much worse. I was given these drugs for fibro...what a joke! I know many people have been dx'd with fibro while on and during their taper...maybe that's what's going on with you??? [gi...]
I was diagnosed with fibromylagia while I was on klonopin. It was one of the many reasons I began searching for answers and found the Ashton manual. That and the debilitating depression while I was on the klonopin. Turns out I did not have fibromylagia or chronic depression, but was in tolerance withdrawl . For me, getting off the benzo's elminated these things. [Bo...]
Hi Iwantoff, I had very mild fibromyalgia before starting benzos. I would say that the benzo withdrawal has made my body feel as if I have worsening of the fibromyalgia. Not sure if it has to due with the burning tingling pins and needles sensation or fybromyalgia. I think your body pain is exaggerated because of benzo withdrawal. Withdrawal burning does go away with time. Hang in there. Withdrawal does go away with time. [Iw...]
I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 3 years ago but I am pretty sure I started the klnopin about 3.5 years ago. The pain has def become worse through wd but I have had the pain for a long time...it just seems very intense right now. Alot of burning. I do want to get off of this stuff though because I have become more and more depressed. I don't know if it's from constantly being in pain, from the klonopin, or both...I am sure both,so I am eager to see what lies ahead. I just don't want to trick myself into thinking...ok, if I get off of klonopin I will be all better and out of pain...but even if I am 25% better and not as depressed all of the time it would all be worth it. I am half way through my taper...I just want it to be over. I am not going to rush the last half though. Thank ya'll for your responses. It feel good to chat with others who understand truly so thank ya'll.
