[ha...]
I was wondering how to go about this, All I want to do is sleep and rest but I feel guilty, I feel like I should push myself to exercise and do stuff. I am very early in the recovery process and I wonder If I should just let myself sleep as much as I can. Is sleep a big part of the healing? Is it better to let your body rest or push yourself a little? I just feel like that's all I have been doing for the past 2 months...
[pa...]
ABSOLUTELY. SLEEP. Yes - sleep is EXACTLY where healing occurs. This is true for any illness. If you have a cold, fever, surgery- and it is true for recovery from benzodiazepine use as well, as your entire nervous system is healing. There is no reason to push a healing nervous system, anymore than you would push to get up and run a 5K after a surgery. No - absolutely -if your body is tired and you can sleep - the more you sleep, the faster you will heal. Sleep is where we recuperate from injury. Please do! :)Parker
[fi...]
I agree with Parker. If your body is telling you to sleep, then sleep. Hope your healing progresses steadily, by the way. Sincerely, fg
