[pa...]
I'm still in a mild form of cog fog or mild d/r. It's like I can ALMOST feel like I could pop throught it - but I just CAN'T! It's driving me nuts. 2 weeks ago, I woke up and it was GONE. It only last 6 hours or so, but it was AMAZING. It was real life and it was right there. Incidentally, I thought I had turned a corner and posted a big fat "hoo-rah" post that day, but it was the only time it happened. (<-- shoulda known better ) Has this happened to anyone else? Did it start to happen more frequently where you got real windows like this? I have had lots of good days I considered "windows" before this, but this was the FIRST time the fog was GONE - so now that is my new "wish" for another window. Any ideas? I really could use some kind of encouragement here. If only this symptom would go away, I don't think I'd ever complain about anything else in life - like - ever again. Please - if you have ANY idea of something to type here - please do. I will read whatever I can get! :)Parker
[WT...]
I don't know if I can offer much, and I'm sure I've mentioned this before, but I had a window just like that back in November -- it was truly amazing! I've been looking for one like that ever since, but sadly, no go. I have had some decent semi windows since then. I'm not sure why windows like the ones we had are so rare, but rest assured, healing will be even better than that.
[pa...]
I DID seem to have an improvement on my baseline fog as soon as I was 5 months off. My sinuses opened up and there was a new level of awareness. That is still with me and my sinuses are still open like that. Even when I get a little stuffy - it rights itself in the next 20 minutes usually. It truly is amazing how the brain and CNS are trying so hard to get it right. WT- I know you are right. Last night, I slept 12 hours, then spent an hour walking around in the sun today at Disney and came home and took a nap on top of it. I can't believe that. [BY...]
2 weeks ago, I woke up and it was GONE. It only last 6 hours or so, but it was AMAZING. Hi parker, This reminded me so much of my very first window. I remember how content the feeling was and thought, I'm finally done with all the symptoms, only to be hit a few hours with wave after wave. That really frustrated me, thinking it was some kind of sick joke. It really ate at me and I even posted a similar question to yours. Someone replied to me saying, that is a glimpse to how things will be when you're healed and try to remember that window when things seem dark. Although it's hard to do, tried to apply their advice the best I could when thing were tough. It may take some time but all that cog and dp/dr will go away. That window is a good sign of things to come, Mike
[pa...]
Mike - THANK YOU! When did that cog fog and d/r finally actually go away for you? I feel like if THAT would go away , I'd consider myself functionally well enough to just move on -even if there are remaining symptoms. But while this fog is getting less and less - the closer I get to being through it, the more anticipatory I get about it!

[BY...]
When did that cog fog and d/r finally actually go away for you? It was a little over a year before they were gone for good but I did have more windows in between and longer lasting. Hope you have more windows soon, Mike
[Kl...]
Parker, I think it was about 3 months ago that I woke up excited and energized about the day.....Just like I used to most mornings before benzos. And it was not a special day. I have not had a great morning like that since. Not all of my mornings have been bad but they are still a far cry from how I used to feel. Mornings are when I usually get to deal with nausea and anxiety. But symptoms are getting more mild and I am grateful.
[pa...]
I realized I just posted about this again today. You can tell I'm really struggling. Mike - if you read this - what was it like for you? I am in SUCH a mild fog - but it is the one thing that keeps me from leaving the house because I feel like I just can't function normally. I have been crying a lot this morning because I just feel discouraged. I'm so weary of this experience. :'(Parker
