visual (sensory overload) and dizziness/panic attacks - anyone else?

One of my most unnerving symptoms (both while on Ambien and now off) has been the dizziness I get (and sometimes panic attacks) after being over stimulated visually.  This often occurs at the grocery store, mall, sometimes long & busy intersections and today it happened at the library.

 

Does anyone else get this symptom?  If so, at what point did it improve once you were off benzos?

Hi turtlegirl, I have that too.  I am two months off valium and still have it, particularly when outside.  I guess I have gotten better though cause when I first made the jump I could not even watch tv without my sunglasses on.

Yep.  Can't comment on being off benzos, but I've got it really bad these days.  I'm terribly sorry you're experiencing this.  For me it's often accompanied by a quick shooting pain in my head.  I think time is the only answer.
