Sexual problems

I have been off Xanax for about 9 months now, and since then I have had different kinds of sexual problems.  In the beginning, my whole body was so sensitive, especially down there, and my libido was hyperactive. 

 

Lately though, I have usually had a low libido and having trouble maintaining an erection.  I think a lot of it has to do with stress and just my mind wandering off.  I have had a few sexual encounters where I can't have an orgasm and sometimes I lose an erection.  I notice that during sex, my mind isn't focused like it should be.  Normally the woman in front of me would be all over mind mind, but those times I just couldn't stop thinking about all my stresses. 

 

Is this normal?  I don't really have anyone to talk about this stuff with, so I don't know how common it is.

Withdrawal can distract us, and take our minds away from any aspect of life, and sexual encounters/relations being no exception.  I do remember actually having numbness of my sexual organs before, and they were basically defunct until the normal feeling returned.

first of all, how old are you? Do you have high BP or diabetes? Do you have any "other" benzo wd symptoms. Are you able to self gratify? what other meds are you taking?

I'm 24.  Yes I am able to self-gratify, but sometimes it can be a little difficult, meaning I am very desensitized and/or my libido is very low.

Yep. I understand the frustration of this symptom.

This is very normal. Don't get worried.

And I'm in my early 20's, so I shouldn't be having any problems with this. This symptom is probably the most embarrassing for me out of the whole list. Eat lots of spinach.

I am taking Suboxone, which I know does help to desensitize myself.  But in the past, I have always been able to perform on Suboxone, only recently has it been very difficult.

I feel ya bro. I had a libido issue in the beginning of my wd after jumping.  Probably lasted a  couple weeks? But I had sex twice today! Yippee!  Lol. Im 28. I can't remember the last time I had 2 orgasms in one day.  Lol. Felt like I was 18 again today.  Lol. It'll come back bro!
