[bm...]
Just wanted to see with you guys if Jaw tightness and moving it while talking can cause fatigue to the Jaw muscle and overall fatigue? It's so hard to talk, almost 3 months out and I find it very debilitating when talking because my jaw is so tight. I also think it's causing nausea. [pi...]
TMJ is very common during withdrawal. I had it even before benzos and it just got worse and worse during my withdrawal. Its seems to be a little better now though. You can try warm wet compresses when in the shower, the heat feels really good. I also do jaw stretches before I go to bed and sleep with a mouthguard. pianogirl
[Fl...]
I just went through a big head wave and part of it was jaw pain and tightness. It can also be a side effect of anxiety.
[jr...]
I never had this before w/d, but a few months ago it was really bad. I would wake up with my jaw so tense it hurt. My doctor had put me on Celexa last summer, and very slowly titrated me up from 5 mg to a therapeutic dose of 40 mg. I felt the Celexa was possibly causing the problem, so I started slowly cutting my dose back down. After another month or so the problem resolved. I still have it occasionally when I am really anxious (which is all the time), but for the most part it's gone. It was very painful for a while. I hope it resolves for you quickly! [cn...]
I've had times when talking or smiling that the back of my head near my ears hurt so bad. The muscles that is.
