[re...]
I am 8.5 months out and wake up stinking and soaked every morning. Some mornings are worse than others, but over all, I am a mess when I wake up. I know it will pass. One day.
[Ho...]
I sweat pretty well every night unless I don't get more than 2 hours sleep. Actually the more I sweat usually the better I feel the next day. My understanding is that it is a side effect of withdrawal and because I'm in protracted withdrawal I'm withdrawing all of the time. I usually wake up all sweaty about 3-4 hours after I fall asleep and I move to another bed. Occasionally I'll sweat in the second bed too. I'm actually looking forward to the time when I sleep 6-7 hours without sweating because that will be a sign to me that I'm finally healing. [Mi...]
Are you on anything right now? - Zoloft? I know night sweats are a side effect of Zoloft. I started the sweating a couple of weeks into my taper, happens during the day too. My body just heats up to the point of waking with sweating, then cools and fall back to sleep. This happens approx. 10 to 15 times per night and starts about 3 hrs. after going to bed. It seems to be getting better during the day, but same to worse at night. During the day just this week started getting the chills, even though my body is warm. Not to mention all the other weird stuff! Mindy
[pa...]
This was an every-night occurence for me about 1-4 months off. At 5 1/2 months off, it's gone. However, I still have some mornings were I'm shivering under the covers and upon taking my temperature, I am whole 2 degrees COLDER - like 96.5! It usually passes quickly and then I'm normal again. Happens in a wave. The only thing I can think of is that the whole brain is affected, and therefore, so is the hypothalamus, thalamus, thyroid = all of which regulates temp. I woudln't worry about this symptom or how close you are to healing because of it. Like any other symptom, it will eventualy just go. :)Parker
[Ho...]
I get that cold thing too Parker. It's like nothing can warm me up so I have to drink some hot decaf tea. It usually starts about 3:00 in the morning and it's quite unsettling. I wonder if we shouldn't have our thyroids checked.
[Ho...]
If you're asking me Mindy. No, I'm on nothing. I used to take Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) for sleep but stopped that in December because it was causing a lot of problems.
[os...]
Sweat ran off me 3-4 months into my taper but it was really hot here in July and August and September, even so, it was withdrawal, at times my face was soaked and i have what looked like condensation and beads of sweat all over my forehead, it used to run down my face, under my arms was bad too and it had a weird smell... not like normal sweat, it was not very nice at all. 8.5 months into my taper, i can feel the back of my neck is damp in the morning but nothing excessive right now... [br...]
Night sweats was THE biggest tell-tale sign of WD for me that separated my WD from my regular anxiety stuff. I woke up soaked for months. It finally went away, and I've only had it a few nights since. Oddly, during this last wave which sort of peaked.... stopped... then peaked again... I had big-time night-sweats during the 2nd phase of the wave. (Though, only for one night) That told me what I suspected... that this was NOT my usual anxiety I was dealing with. I wonder if anyone else found that symptom to be ultra-specific to WD?
[bl...]
Sweating and night sweats have been one of my most annoying withdrawal symptoms. My entire nervous system feels very, very rev'd up. I'm sweating. My pupils are dilated. I'm shaking. My heart is pounding. My mouth is either dry or salivating. Muscles are tight. It's annoying! [Fl...]
I had more of an issue with night sweats going on and coming off of AD's but I have had several occurances of it while in benzo wd as well. I don't think it has anything to do with "detoxing". It it is related to dopamine, if I am not mistaken.

(Quit of course.) But, I had several days of night-sweats and these weird upper shoulder hot/cold feelings I got in BZWD. So, 2 doses of Prestiq gave me like a week of night sweats. Didn't have it again until BZWD. Then, tons.
