hi all. newbie here. this looks like a great place. valuim free for over a month now. had been on valium 5 mgs for 6 months. really struggling now. weird shaking feeling in my neck and nead. very panicy. very confused. almost left work yeasterday. started cymbalta five weeks ago. not sure if im having valium withdrawal, the cymbalta, or just stress is causing these out of body like feelings. thanks for any help!

Welcome to BenzoBuddies.

 

What you're describing are typical symptoms of withdrawal. For some reason when people take their last dose after a taper, after a month or two they start to feel symptoms. It sounds like that's what happening to you.

 

I can't rule out side effects of the cymbalta. I don't know much about this medication. You might want to talk to your doctor about how you're feeling.

Welcome to Benzo Buddies, we are so glad you are here.  It does indeed sound like you are in the midst of withdrawals, all those symptoms are very common and I have had them as well.  It takes valium a while to leave your body since it is a very long lasting benzo.  The same thing happened to me, I actually felt pretty good for a while and then about 1 month out I was hit with so many sxs.

 

Just know that they will pass in time. Make yourself at home here, there are so many kind and generous people willing to help and give encouragement. Ask any questions you might have.  Here is a link to the Ashton Manual, there is a lot of good information there.
