According to Bliss Johns, protracted withdrawal begins after 18 months (most likely because the average recovery time is 6-18 months).  Hope this helps!

I just googled 'Bliss Johns' and found she is the author of 'Benzo-Wise: A Recovery Companion'. It is $12.46 new from Amazon. Is this the book you are referring to Hope? Did you read it? Was it helpful?

 

I am pretty horrified that the average recovery time is 6-18 months, let alone anything longer! I suppose I can hang on to the 6month part!

Xana,  Yes that is the book, benzo wise, 2 vverpy important points she states that we all heal at different rates THERE ARE NO SET TIIME FRAMES FOR HEALING! WE ALL DO HEAL!
