Brain fog sheesh

[sm...]

Recommended Posts

:'(So I have been off clonazepam for two months now.  I am still struggling with the depersonalization, brain fog, short term memory problems, and trouble concentrating.  The anxiety is still there not as strong and some times the depression can just knock you on your ass, literally for an entire day sometimes.  I was on the stuff for about two and a half months at about .25mg-.75mg per day.  I just couldn't tolerate the stuff so I never got up to a full dose.  I tapered a little faster than some people on here because I was on it for a short time and a low dose, but still feeling pretty bad two months later.  I always worry I tapered wrong and did permanent damage:( I hear once you get passed two weeks of being off of it that there is no point in getting back on it.  Anyways, still struggling, has anyone had these problems before?

Your issues are pretty common with w/d.  You are still very early out, so I would definitely give it more time.  Thank God that you are off of it and you are healing each day.  Wishing you well...

Sincerely,

I am still tapering.  Actually, I am holding at 1.75 mg. of Klonopin, but I hope to feel well enough to resume tapering in the near future.  I am doing a dry-cut direct taper.

Sincerely,

one of my biggest worries is, is this brain damage permanent?

I did a fast taper and almost went to a 1 mg. of valium after 6 weeks off. Only did it for 2 days and realized that sticking it out without was probably best for me.

I am now 4 months off of Zopiclone.

I now have windows of clear thinking although if I try to do something complicated I notice it shortens the window considerably. Light thinking last longer for me.

We have to believe what we have been reading and hearing from others farther along in the healing.

We will get better!

Believe it!

Sarah, you're still very early out.  It can take quite some time for all the symptoms of withdrawal to clear. Hang in there, I highly doubt you have damaged anything permanently!
