I feel you, I was also a hard drinker and quit, then clonazepam prescribed for a dizziness issue, so I know what you are feeling, I think I am getting better little by little, at about the speed of a glacier, but it is better than going the other way, right? Any support you need, or just to vent, we are all ears.

No taper.  Detox with librium in a hospital for 7 days.  I still have shakes and dizzyness preventing me from returning to work.  21 years drinking, 5 years Xanax and booze.  NEVER want to go through this again.  I feel great otherwise.  I'm told  look totally different now.  Oh, 4 days no cigarettes!

Well, congratulations  Let the pain of what you went through be a reminder that things may get bad but there's always a positive to the ending.
