Effexor

Has anyone been on/tapered off Effexor following benzo withdrawal.

 

I am tapering off 150mg - have managed to get down to 75mg and think I will hold awhile.  I long to feel clear-headed again and regain my energy (am tired all the time!) but I guess that won't be till am off altogether.

 

Please let me know your experiences of being on (side effects?), ease of withdrawal and if you suffered withdrawals.

Someone I worked with told me a brief detail about her Effexor withdrawal.

 

She said she felt numbness in her legs and had anxiety.

Dear Angel,

 

According to your signature you are now benzo free for approximately ten months?  If so CONGRATULATIONS!!! 

 

Are you also off the beta blocker?

 

So if I read your signature correctly, you are currently on the Proponol (sp?) and the Effexor and you have decreased the Effexor to 75 mgs?

 

You might be able to get more info on the Effexor wd sxs if you look into other sites who deal with AD tapering (i.e., PaxilProgress and/or Surviving Antidepresants).

Thankyou NYClady - yes am off the propanolol (just stopped the 10mg, no prob) and on the 75mg Effexor - I don't like the way I am feeling (tired and blah!) But guess it will pass.
