Unable to use toothpaste or dental mouthwash

For well over a year since the end of my taper I've been unable to use toothpaste or mouth washes. They feel like they're burning my mouth and also my nose lining also seems to be affected so that it feels as though it's sore and running though it's actually  perfectly dry.

Apart from once or twice when it seemed to improve a bit this has been ongoing.

I never had any problems like this prior to w/d.

Anyone else had similar experience.

Dave

Have you tried Spry toothpaste?

I see you're on b12 injections, for pernicious anemia? Do you also have low or no stomach acid?

[edit] I just learned that Spry toothpaste now has fluoride. If you can find a toothpaste with Xylitol but no fluoride, that may help. Helps with dry mouth too.

An oral pathologist told me to use Biotene toothpaste.  It is sold over-the-counter in pharamacies, a little pricy though (7$-8$).

I had burning nerve pain in my mouth BEFORE benzos (that is why they prescribed them to me in the first place) and this product is supposed to be less irritating.  They also have the mouthwash and other products for dry-mouth, etc.

Otherwise, have you tried using just a little baking soda?
