the last really bad symptom

The last bad symptom I have is eye tightness and sensativity that comes and goes -- I am now 10 months off.  I have had this on and off since the start.  It was bad for a long time, and then was much better from about the 6th month until the middle of the 8th months.

Since then it has been more troubling.  It is not around 100% of the time (and it never was).  Basically, in certain settings, I wll get extreme eye tightness and sensativity, where it is almost impossible for me to look at anything.  It tends to happen in restaurants and in bright places.  It sometimes happens when I am exercising (it did not for a long time).  The only thing I can say is that it tends to pass quickly, but did crop up at least three times today.

I hope this is not permanent.  It is one of those symptoms that sounds manageable when one describes it ("My eyes become tight and I am light sensative").  It is not.  When it comes on, I often have to stop what I am doing.  Sitting in a restaurant can become unbearable.  It is hard for me to even believe this symptom when I am not having it.  How could I not even simply sit there.  But it is like my eyes are going crazy and I cannot stop them.

Has anyone had anything like this, and does it go away?

I had this A LOT as I got lower in my taper last year.  It was very frightening and an unsettling feeling.  Since my last dose, it happens a lot less, so I'd suspect it's going to go for you as well...it's just being stubborn - the same way my GI issues are lingering much longer than other s/x.  I can imagine your frustration with this b/c after experiencing the same feeling with my eyes last year, I know how annoying it can be.  I was really scared the first time I felt it.

Hang in there.  I think it should go like everything else.  For whatever reason it just wants to hold on longer.  I hope it passes very soon for you.

Take care and all the best,

Schatje

My last remaining physical symptoms are head, jaw, eye and sinus pain. It's definitely wd because it fluctuates in line with everything else which also lets me know that it isn't permanent.
