[...]
I have held at 1.5mgs of "Clono" for many months now. I have lost track of how long I have stayed at 1.5mgs. I, often, go without "Clono" for anywhere from 12-18 hours, due to sleeping. My dosing schedule would be something like .5mgs of "Clono" at NOON; another .5mgs 15 minutes later; and then taking my final dose around 6:00pm. I go to bed around MIDNIGHT. I wake up with intense pain and stinging and burning - extreme intense. I am going "cuckoo" from the stinging and burning. I find no way to stop the pain, stinging, and burning. I keep holding off on tapering again until I see my new primary doctor. I want for him to order me compounded "Clono". I do not see him for another week. In the meantime, the stinging and burning increases every day. What should I do? What should I change as it pertains to my dosing? I can barely think and obsess, all of the time, about the constant pain, etc. I can't find any comfort; I can't relax. I am open to all suggestions as I don't know how much longer I can take this horrific pain, etc. Please reply. Yowl
[Cr...]
Some people find some relief but adjusting their doses. It seems you take the bulk of it around noon (1 mg) and the remainder (.5 mg) 6 hours before you go to sleep. For me personally, it helped to have my dose as close to bed time as possible. It helped to ward off interdose withdrawals. If you are sleeping 8 hours, then by the time you are awake it has been 14 hours since your last dose and that may be why you are feeling those symptoms at that time. You may want to try splitting your doses up more. I assume that you take your first dose at noon because that is around the time you wake up? If so it may help to split the dose to .5mgs noon, .5mgs 6pm, .5mgs 11pm/midnight. Or if you like dosing just twice daily you can try flipping your current dose to .5 at noon and 1 mg at 6pm or before bed. Really this is all trial and error, as each of us has to find what works best for us individually.
