[je...]
Have been on 0.25mg of Ativan twice a day for about 3 weeks for panic attacks. Zoloft is working well and do not want to be on the Ativan. Have read alot about withdrawal. I need to know if this low of a dose is a problem for me to just stop? My doc seems to think i will not develop an addiction to this low dose? Help me! [Ho...]
Hi jen, Welcome to BenzoBuddies. I doubt your body has developed a dependency after 3 weeks but to be safe, if it were me, I might try cutting my dose in half for a week or so to see how I feel. Certainly a long taper is not needed at all. Hope
[Mi...]
Hi Jen, Welcome. Lucky you to have become benzo wise so early on. Hope gave you very good advice. Taper now and get off before a true tolerance develops, it is hell later on. MiniMinnie
[je...]
Thanks for the info. I think I am actually more afraid of the benzo's than having an anxiety attack!

[On...]
Thanks for the info. I think I am actually more afraid of the benzo's than having an anxiety attack! Hi Jen, That's a wise comment, because the withdrawals after long term use of benzodiazepines is usually always much worse than anything it was used to treat. Knowing what I know now, take the others advice and taper as they suggested and never look back at this drug again! I'm glad your getting the word early! [Ch...]
Smart girl, Jen... glad you got here in the nick of time. Agree with the others who posted about tapering. You should do very well getting off them and now's the perfect time. Lots of support here if you run into a problem. Challis
