[st...]
Hey guys, I'm sure this question has been asked before but I tried on a swimsuit yesterday and couldn't believe what I saw! Early in my snri withdrawal and with the benzo, I lost tons of weight. Now it seems I can't get rid of it! I eat very healthy. Lots of lean protein, vegetables, and fruits. I even exercise when I am able. I drink water. It doesn't matter what I do, I have put on weight in my chest, my belly, and my hips/thigh area. Does anyone know when this will ever even out??? When I was taking my ashwagandha it really helped keep my cortisol even but as soon as I got off of that, I gained 10 pounds and am trying so hard to keep from gaining more! :'(
[mi...]
I have the same problem. I just joined a zumba class at the gym. Not only is it fun but it is just the kind of exercise I need to drop the weight.
[jo...]
Stronger, I lost a lot of weight early on too and now have gained around 60 lbs. It is proving to be very hard to lose it, even with exercise and weight training and diet change. I don't why this happens after wd. Jo
[st...]
Yeah the only thing I can figure is that our cortisol levels are thrown out of whack since I have had my thyroid tested recently and it came back fine too. I do have some hormonal things going on though so I am guessing it has to be those hormones are just still out of whack?? I just don't want to go on more supplements to try and balance it out. Guess I will just have to keep on pushing on and try to exercise when my head symptoms aren't acting up? So frustrating. I wonder how long it took people that gained weight to lose it and get back to their normal body weight?

I wonder how long it took people that gained weight to lose it and get back to their normal body weight? I never thought of the cortisol, really don't know what that is or how it works. Seems to be so much of our bodies are effected by these drugs and damaged. Sometimes I think OMG what have I done to my body and how much of the damage is not reversible? I keep on pushing with the exercise and sometimes I can only do 1 mile on the treadmill. maybe push ourselves, but not to the point of exhaustion and take a break when we fell really bad. Tried going on a diet supplement and it just reved me up so I dropped it. The protein shakes help and the increase in protein rich foods. As for losing the weight I am stumped. I keep trying differant things with my diet and hope I get it right soon. Jo
