[jo...]
They put me on this during wd and it caused terrible heart palpatations and trouble breathing. I dont know the reasoning of using this drug during wd.
[Ga...]
They did me, too and I took it for a mo and couldnt tell which was side effects and what was w/d I just now started after 7 mo to take it but....I dont like it! My head hurts, I get dizzy etc yuck. I guess she put me on it for the anxiety probs but I am going to have to try something else non-benzo. [el...]
I took it for a few weeks. The dizziness was unbearable so I stopped. As I recall, it gave me diarrhea as well. Or that could have been from the Cymbalta that I was also taking.
[an...]
I am 23 mos off and started buspar about 5 days ago. Boy what a mistake. I am shaking with severe anxiety, dizzy, headache and heart problems. Also have you felt like ice water is going through your body then it feels like hot water? Boy I am done with that pill. Angel
[su...]
You're not the only one. I also had extreme dizziness and near black-outs where I was sure I would pass out. I had to be prepared not to have to stand for hours after taking it. It also made the area around my mouth on my face feel numb and tingly. I told my doc these things and he upped my dose to about 15 mg, saying to give it time. I read on the prescription pamplet that Buspar can take 4 weeks to work. Read from the drug info online that you should consult with your doc if you are on it for more than 4 weeks. Most importantly the Ashton Manual says that it has "little or no value in withdrawal trials". Feel like not taking it lessens my symptoms... Don't need a drug causing me more crazy side effects than those I already have from w/d.
[Ga...]
I did take it for a mo but tapered off it as I was in w/d and had so many symps but now, it makes me dizzy and that was 10 mg cut in half! Im kind of leeery of any meds now except onc in awhile I take Ibuprophen and doesnt seem to bother me. Thanks for the input, it doesn't seem like anyone else has good luck with it anyways Im gonna pitch it. sunnygirl, I had the face numbness, too but think thats a w/d symptom? also had like tight band around my head! [pr...]
I don't know anyone who has actually gotten relief of benzo withdrawal symptoms from Buspar. I used to take Buspar for many years and it definitely made me dizzy, also stupid.
[Up...]
Buspar made me freak! Gave me heart palpitations and major anxiety attacks. Never calmed me down, only revved me up. It was a horrible med for me. Will never take it again.
